This is always a moment of sadness for me to do this. Not so much because of the personal involvement, but also having to watch the family members see the heartbreak of this ceremony.
Unlike a wedding there are no moments of joy in this for anyone. Well I should not say anyone. Among the living it is hard and sad because we lose someone we love.
To the other side this is a moment of happiness for those who wait to receive them. I know it sounds kind of hard to hear, but our loss in this life is a gain in another. So in this i take solice in knowing that someone will have open arms for them. So cry as we may and hurt as we may be there is a silver lining in all this.
